Visual perception; visual attention and search; visual imagery; the natures of mental images (or the mental representations that involve visual information); visual memory; the interaction(s) between mental and external visualizations; space perception, the navigation and way finding in different scales of spaces; spatial memory; spatial mental representations constructed on the basis of different forms of spatial information; individual differences in visual (imagery) and spatial abilities and design; the external visuo-spatial (visuospatial) representations in design (gestures, 3 dimensional models, diagrams, sketches) and visuospatial reasoning in design- the roles that these external representations play in reasoning about the visuospatial aspects of a design
