Building Information Modeling (BIM) proposes a new approach of designing, documenting, constructing and maintaining buildings. It has a significant impact on most business processes taking place in building firms. This course will inform students about the conceptual framework of BIM and the technologies and standards involved with it. The course aims at understanding how BIM affects business processes in firms by focusing on its implementation in various design, construction and facility management firms in collaborative settings.
